ThirdSpace Theatre CIC has been re-commissioned to develop a promenade, interactive experience at Leonardslee Lights 2024, taking place at Leonardslee Lakes and Gardens in Horsham in November and December.
On each night, 5 or 6 performers (as well as 1 performer-manager) will wear extraordinary light-up costumes and interact with audience members and the public attending the Leonardslee Lights event.
We are looking for a roster of actors to fill these roles and are open to a rota of a larger number of performers but also welcome performers who can fulfil all the performance dates.
We are primarily a young people’s company and so are looking for performers up to a maximum age of 26. The performers will be paid at £12/hr. The performer-manager is a special role which is paid at £15/hr and will perform with the other cast members, but will also be responsible for managing breaks, food, transport, and rotaing etc.
Fees will be paid according to the number of performances completed, but there are a total of 26 performance days and 1.5 rehearsal days for each role (6 performers and 1 performer-manager). Each performance day will be a 7 hour shift, during which time you will not be performing continuously. The performance days will take place in the evenings due to the nature of the event. In the past, cast members have car-pooled from Brighton to Leonardslee, for which we pay 45p per mile.
Performance days between 22 November – 30 December 2024
Mostly Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with more days in the week towards Christmas. No performances 24th, 25th, and 26th December.
